Even small stresses can feel big to babies and toddlers, but your calm, loving presence can buffer that stress and help their brains grow strong.

Responsive care is key: notice their cues, offer comfort, and stay close.
It’s normal for toddlers to hold on tight to “mine.” They’re still learning what it means to share, and your gentle support helps them understand over time.
For little ones, learning to share and use gentle hands takes time and lots of practice. You can show them how by offering simple examples:
“I’m passing you this toy gently.”
“Let’s take turns with the book.”

It’s not about getting it right, it’s about keeping at it. Celebrate your child’s persistence, not perfection. That’s where real learning begins.
Big feelings often come from feeling powerless.
Offering simple choices, such as “This book or that one?” can help children feel more in control, calm, and ready to cooperate.
